About Us

“In partnership with our reference communities, we remove barriers to help restore dignity and self-reliance to Africa and its people.”

At One to One Africa, the child is at the centre of everything we do. Our vision is for every child to grow up healthy, resilient, and able to reach their full potential.

We know that children thrive when the families and communities around them are strong. That’s why our mission is to transform children’s lives by ensuring their caregivers, households, and communities are equipped to provide the health, nutrition, and support they need.

For more than a decade, we have worked in some of South Africa’s most remote and underserved areas, delivering community‑based health programmes that tackle poverty and chronic illness—including HIV, TB, and diabetes—while strengthening maternal, child, and adolescent health.

Through our integrated Enable Programme, we bring together:

  • Maternal, newborn, and child health services
  • Early childhood development support
  • Adolescent health initiatives
  • Gender‑transformative approaches

This holistic model strengthens protective factors around children living in households affected by HIV and poverty, ensuring they grow up in environments where they can flourish.

Our approach combines direct community support with health systems strengthening, under a formal Memorandum of Understanding with the Eastern Cape Department of Health. This partnership ensures that every pregnant woman, mother, and child we reach is supported by a continuum of prevention, care, and services—so that children are never left behind simply because of where they live.
