From One to One to Thousands

What began as a small pioneering model for community-based health and care is now growing across the rural Eastern Cape and beyond.

From putting the first 250 South African children on lifesaving HIV treatment when it was still denied by the government — to training thousands of community health workers who now serve as a bridge between clinics and families — One to One has always believed that big change begins with small acts of courage.

Today, in partnership with the South African government, our Mentor Mothers — local women trained as trusted health advocates — cover more than 5,000 km² of rural Eastern Cape. They support expectant mothers, track HIV treatments, and bring healthcare directly into homes. Their work saves lives every day.

Now, with your support, we can take this model to scale — across provinces, and eventually across the continent.
