Adolescents Team
Adolescents: Youth Champions
Calling themselves “Youth Champions”, our vibrant young adults play a crucial role by taking on various responsibilities to promote positive change and address issues that affect young people. They serve as catalysts for positive change by actively engaging, advocating, and working towards the betterment of young people in the communities that we serve. Their dedication and efforts contribute to creating a more inclusive, supportive, and promising environment for youth to thrive
They provide essential support and services to both adolescent girls and young women (AGYWs) and adolescent boys and young men (ABYMs) in One To One Africa’s catchment areas. The programme encompasses three key components: i) Psycho-social support & resilience-building for adolescents living with chronic conditions; ii) Sexual and reproductive health & rights education and services to curb the growing crisis of teenage pregnancies, STIs and HIV infection amongst young people in the OR Tambo district; and iii) Support for young people to be informed, empowered, and resilient individuals that contribute meaningfully to their communities. This team is supervised by a qualified Social Worker.
