One to One Africa’s 1616 One Man Can Pledge Campaign gained momentum, with 16 exceptional men signing up to take the pledge to fight against gender-based violence.

The campaign features men from across South Africa sharing their pledge to hold themselves accountable for their actions, choose masculinity without misogyny, respect all boundaries, challenge the use of oppressive language, and avoid defensiveness. Highlight names included popular personalities such as author Asanda Njobeni; actor, comedian and activist Siv Ngesi; actors Hlomla Dandala and Micah Stojakovic; and personality Mpho Popps Modikoane.
